Are you new to volunteering for Weekend Survival Kits? If so, you are in for a treat! The packing sessions and kit delivery provide a great way to get involved for a great cause, feeding hungry kids. Make it fun by including friends or family. The youngest volunteers begin by being helpers at a very early age (4 or 5), and the most senior volunteers are well into their 80s. There truly is something for everyone to do to help us feed hungry kids!
A volunteer food kit packing session happens twice a month on a Wednesday evening in two different locations. And then, on Thursday, drivers who have committed to the whole school year, are assigned a route and schools where they will deliver anywhere from 15 to 150 kits to the assigned schools. Accordingly, all of this information and more is on our new website.
