Weekend Survival Kits

New WSK Website Launched!

At Weekend Survival Kits, we are so grateful for our friends at Shumaker Group for helping us get the new WSK website launched. They have helped us create a fresh, new, user-friendly website. You are encouraged to visit and use our website. We hope that you will be inspired to join us in helping feed hungry kids right here in Mid-Michigan.  www.weekendsurvivalkits.org

Are you new to volunteering for Weekend Survival Kits?  If so, you are in for a treat!  The packing sessions and kit delivery provide a great way to get involved for a great cause, feeding hungry kids.  Make it fun by including friends or family.  The youngest volunteers begin by being helpers at a very early age (4 or 5), and the most senior volunteers are well into their 80s.  There truly is something for everyone to do to help us feed hungry kids!View of new website on phone

A volunteer food kit packing session happens twice a month on a Wednesday evening in two different locations.  And then,  on Thursday, drivers who have committed to the whole school year, are assigned a route and schools where they will deliver anywhere from 15 to 150 kits to the assigned schools.  Accordingly, all of this information and more is on our new website.

If you are a detail person and wish to review our website with a sharp eye for the fine details, minor mistakes or areas for clarification please be our guest and let us know how and where we can do better!
