Volunteer Kit Packing Session – Hill Ctr/Evening
January 15 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
The New Year is here and for Volunteer Kit Packing sessions this month there are many of us that have renewed our efforts to be healthy and fit. Improve your physical health as you help pack weekend food kits at Harry Hill Center. At the same time you are doing something good for the children and the community! While you are participating at the kit packing session why not share your fitness and other goals with your fellow volunteers?
Thank you for helping at our Volunteer Kit Packing sessions. Together with you, Lansing School District, MSU Extension, Northwest Initiative and SodexoMagic; we collaborate with nonprofit Weekend Survival Kits to support the weekend food kit program that services the Lansing Schools: Averill, Cavanaugh, Dwight Rich, Gardner, Gier Park, North, Willow Elementary; and Eastern & Sexton Middle & High.
Thank you for taking time during your busy holiday season to continue to support Weekend Survival Kits. Lighten the load a bit by having some pre-holiday fun while you work. This month dig out your ugliest holiday sweater to wear to the packing session. We’ll grab some photos and post online!
LOCATION: Hill Center – 5815 Wise Rd., Lansing, MI – Note: We have a new packing room this year. Same building, just different location! Check out our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/nwlansing to get exact location and then follow the signs to the WSK packing/assembly room. Help us avoid overloading the space by using this link to sign-up to volunteer. Any Questions: Call Erin at 517-999-2894, ext 109, or email firstname.lastname@example.org or Jillaine@weekendsurvivalkits.org
For your convenience you will find upcoming events listed on the home page of Weekend Survival Kits at www.weekendsurvivalkits.org While there you can track your own volunteer service hours throughout the year by clicking on the Clipboard on the home page. This takes just a few minutes and can be done right from your cell phone. If you bring along children to volunteer, list them in the comments section and report a total number of hours your family/group.
