The Fundraiser Burpees For Bellies 2018, where putting food in hungry kids stomachs is as easy at 3, 2, 1…GO! Please plan on joining us Saturday Morning, April 7th, to help raise money to support the Weekend Survival Kits. Click on the link below to find out more information about how the Weekend Survival Kits program helps feed hungry kids throughout the greater Lansing area. The Weekend Survival Kits supplies food kits twice a month to mostly elementary school kids in area schools. The kids qualify for free and reduced lunch program, however often over the weekend there is a need for supplementing food. The kits fill that gap and go home discreetly in their backpacks and include makings for meals including dinner, lunch, and breakfast, as well as some snacks. Without the kit, chances are the child will come back to school on Monday, hungry and not ready to learn.
How to help? Sign up with a partner, preferrably male-male and female-female teams due to equipment needs. Reserve ONE ticket for your team. Show up a half an hour before your heat to register and warm up and then let it rip!
Donation? We ask for a minimum donation of $20 per athlete but any donation you are willing to provide will be gratefully accepted. The more you give the more the kids get! All proceeds will go to support the Weekend Survival Kits Program.
Want to get the kids involved? Sign your child up for the 8:30am kids heat. This will be a kids CrossFit workout led by certified instructors…the name of the game here is fun! Kids will learn different movements, break a sweat, and share a laugh or two! Again Donations are expected but only as much as you are comfortable with!
